Accountant (AU)

The role requires strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. The role is also expected to have regular and independent communication with management, peers in finance and other functions/business.


Duties and Responsibilities, but are not limited to:

- Set-up and maintenance of bookkeeping and office systems

- Management reporting and analysis

- Management of cash flow

- Debtors and creditors management

- Bank Reconciliation

- Payroll

- Superannuation reporting

- BAS and IAS preparation

- Payroll Tax preparation and lodgement

- Workers Compensation reporting

- System upgrades

- Research and development of systems

- Keeping up to date with changes in the industry

- Reconciling the bank accounts and requesting missing documents

- Entering invoices/receipts to the bookkeeping software

- Prepare monthly accounts for clients

- Review the profit and loss and balance sheet for irregularities and ensuring it is in line with expectations of the client

- Prepare and enter budgets in the client software

- Perform administrative tasks as directed by office manager

- Read and understand a wide variety of documents and know where to file them



- Candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or accounting related

- Have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the related field 

- Have a strong knowledge of accounting software such as Xero and MYOB

- Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Management, Accounting Technology or anything related

- Have a strong IT, Microsoft Office and “add on” knowledge 

- Be able to work to deadlines

- Be highly motivated, have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently

- Have outstanding reading comprehension

- Be organized, goal-driven and results oriented

- Have excellent English written and oral communication skill
